We meet at the planters between Hospital Road and Scarlett’s Road about once a fortnight in the growing season. There are also planters at the junction of Bruneval Drive and Dempsey Road. We will be meeting there from spring 2025 onwards.
Email ediblewellesley@gmail.com to be added to the mailing list so you hear about dates for meeting at the planters, or join the Edible Wellesley Facebook group. Everyone is welcome.
When plants are ready for harvesting, anyone can take the fruit and vegetables. Everything is fresh, organic and free, and available for everyone.
Edible Wellesley Harvest Celebration and Launch of new planters
We had a great time at the Harvest Celebration on Sunday 29 September 2024. We hope you enjoy the photos – thanks to Shaun Jackson for taking them.

Great Big Green Week, 2024 – Edible Wellesley with seed bombs.
Edible Wellesley took part in Great Big Green Week 2024.
On Sunday 9 June from 3pm, our usual fortnightly session was joined by our friend Dennis from Spaces for Growing (https://www.spacesforgrowing.co.uk/) who helped us to make seed bombs. These are collections of wildflower seeds which can be scattered in the autumn.

We have Incredible Edible planters on the Wellesley development, situated near the Gordon Oak between Hospital Road and Scarlett’s Road..
The planters are available for anyone and everyone to grow edible plants and share the harvest.
During the growing season, the planters always need watering. Please help if you can – just take some water when you are out and about, and give the plants a treat. And if you see fruit and vegetables ready to harvest, please feel free to take and use some.
We enjoyed our recent Harvest Thanksgiving celebrations in October 2022 and October 2023. Thank you to Dean for leading us on both occasions.
