Forest Church

Wellspring Forest Church is no longer meeting. We are grateful to those who have taken part in Forest Church over the past few years.

Previously:

In May 2023 we considered Pentecost – the coming of the Holy Spirit to live with all Christians, and the beginning of the church. As the Holy Spirit came with a sound of rushing wind, we made kites and blew bubbles to accompany our prayers. And as the Holy Spirit gives both fruit and gifts, we ate fruit and chocolates in a mindful way as we considered gifts and fruit we would like to develop.

Advent Sunday, 27 November 2022, was also the beginning of National Tree Week. We considered trees, and how we can grow the fruit of the Spirit (love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control) in our lives, in preparation for the coming of Jesus.

In October 2022 we followed in the steps of St Francis. We listened to his Canticle of the Sun, and then composed and recorded our own canticle, each participant contributing two lines. You can listen to it here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/11091BX7zG_uBIFjBcnS1RmXoSxfoIQpc/view?usp=sharing
